The Home School Learning Network
is an affordable, dynamic online K-12 curriculum service that allows home educators and teachers to access thousands of unit studies, lesson plans, and worksheets. In addition, our learning environment offers a collaborative environment where educators can communicate and interact.

Charter Schools are a unique blend of structured, alternative, and independant learning. HLN offers a wide variety of learning materials to suit those varying types of learning, and offers that within a price structure that fits with most Charter School cost-conscious budgets.

Charter Schools can allow students to learn independantly with HLN resources. Charter Schools can allow teachers to use the varied types of learning to aide in their teaching. Charter Schools can join a group plan and spread the cost among many student allocations, allowing more funds for additional programs and resources.

Overview

Thematic Units: HLN provides a wealth of learning content in the form of thematic units, lessons and worksheets for grades K-12. There are 4 thematic units and a grade-specific workplan provided every week. Each theme includes background information and 6-8 lessons for varying grade levels and subjects, but there are always several lessons for each grade per theme.

Structured Learning: You may also follow our 36-week structured learning pages for grades K-12 to learn week-by-week for your child's specific grade. Students can learn at his or her own pace and academic level!

Flexibility in Online Learning: Learning is done mainly online, although there are worksheets available in each unit for download to work on offline. We currently hold an archive of over 300 thematic units to choose from so that you can create your own study schedule. We also provide downloadable Language Arts, Math, and Science worksheets/experiments.

Multiple Learning Methods at Any Time: You may learn with either the Thematic Units or the Structured Learning at any time! Both are always available.

Two Ways to Join: Charter Schools can sign up individual students or teachers - whichever works best with the organization and design of your school.

Cost Structure

Charter School Individual Student Plans
Individual Charter School students can join any regular membership plan listed below, or Charter Schools may opt to pay quarterly or bi-annually via an Individual Purchase Order Form. Download the Individual Purchase Order Form, and follow the directions to submit your registration information.

Charter School Group Plans
HLN offers Charter Schools the opportunity to participate in the program as a group at the multiple-user reduced price of $359.95 / 6 months (for up to 20 members). To participate in our group program, download the Group Purchase Order Form, and fax to 1-877-278-3388 or mail to HLN, PO Box 795, Makawao, HI 96768.
